Places and its Importance

Cellular Jail:

This National Monument is the most Important Must see place Built By the Indian Freedom Fighters and Prisoners in 1906.It has 700 Cells.One of the attraction is the Cell used by the Revolutionary Freedom Fighter Veer Savarkar.The Light & Sound Show in English & Hindi takes the Viewers back to the Independence Period.
                                           

Ross Island: 
Historically Important ,Ross Island was the seat of the British Headquarters till the Island fell into the hands of Japanese empire   in 1942 .The Ruins Now includes A Church, Swimming Pool and Chief Commissioner”s Residence.

NorthBay Island:

British Empire’s Summer Head Quarters “Mount Harriet”with a Light house is an ideal place for Swimming,Snorkelling (viewing underwater colourful creatures),  boating and trekking in Mt Harriet.

Viper Island :

This Island was the Hanging Place for Women Prisoners.

Baratang Island:
